Hillary Clinton thought she was finally out of the woods when it came to being charged over her anti-Donald Trump dossier. Unfortunately for her, however, she just learned that she was dead wrong.
Daily Mail reported that House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes spoke out on Monday night to say that it was Clinton’s campaign that was the real Russian collaborator and that it used the FBI as a weapon against Trump during the election.
While talking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday night, Nunes accused the Democrats of being hypocrites, saying that there was a “clear link” between them and Russia during the election.
“I think there’s clear, there’s clear evidence of collusion that the Democratic Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign colluded with the Russians,” he said.
Nunes then slammed Democrats for criticizing a memo compiled by his office alleging the Justice Department and the FBI abused a government surveillance program against a Trump campaign adviser.
“We have a clear link to Russia – you have a campaign who hired a law firm, who hire Fusion GPS, who hired a foreign agent, who then got information from the Russians on the other campaign,” the Republican chairman said.
“It seems like the counterintelligence investigation should have been opened up against the Hillary campaign when they got ahold of the dossier. But that didn’t happen, either.”
This comes days after the release of the four-page House Intelligence memo, which contends that the FBI, when it applied for a surveillance warrant on Page, relied excessively on ex-British spy Christopher Steele whose opposition research was funded by Democrats.
